This magical EP by HTRK's Jonnine celebrates the singer-songwriter's debut as a solo artist. With her synonymous use of spoken word and deep, touching compositions, this time we can truly indulge in the musical talent from this super artist. We are taken on a magical adventure through the realms of supernatural thought. While exploring the inner guides and our own mental boundaries to them, this four track release projects poetry and fills the air with introspective vibrations. Jonnine created this album under the spell of a future film that she and long term colleague Zebrablood are destined to one day make. Tied in with eight years of great friendship and personal growth in each other's lives, this new EP offers us all a supernatural experience.

A bassy breeze of sonic spaciousness begins the music, like distant horns carried by the wind. Percussion bubbles from disinterested surfaces as Jonnine begins to cast her enchantments. Her sanguine voice carries through the composed abstraction like thread, stitched under and over the fabric of the piece. Eerie and haunting rhythms crunch through a soft undergrowth of sonic matter. You're Wanting It To Go This Way explores the way we create our own destiny and trial through the way we perceive ourselves, the inner workings of our self identity.

I Don't Seem Myself Tonight follows. It has a higher state of energy. Synths sing in a new rhythm, quicker and more punchy. Jonnine enters once more, this time she sings as well as recites. Harmonising tones and forward pushing beats raise the energies and create peace among emotional currents. More melody on chiming keys create wafts of colour before organic instrument sounds give percussive dream-like injections. Sleepy and comfortable, this track spirals into a blissful out of body sensation.

Turn over the record and we're hit with a guitar melody. It's filled by percussion and synth bass which takers the lead. Behind, a string vibrates in rhythmic clarity, holding key. The song begins, whispered and close. Jonnine tells us about the kind of people we're hanging around with, the kind of people who are just on the take. They see you as an opportunity for their ego. It might hurt to hear it but perhaps we needed to? You Can Leave The Vampires speaks to all those people who find themselves going nowhere with their talents.

Finally, Scorpio Rises Again starts on a clean vocal on its own. A small melodic drum patters behind then a trumpet sound rings out. The words are a warning, letting us know that somewhere within is a spirit waiting to grab with both claws and lash out with stinging force. Protective and ferocious, Scorpio represents so many things. We want them on our side, that's for sure. The music progresses with strings and wobbling effects before more trumpet and synthesiser begin to compose a dreamy score. Elements of several instruments combine as well as a male vocal to compliment Jonnine.

It's a spooky EP and one that builds an interesting energy in the room. Artistic and avant-garde, Jonnine's Super Natural is strangely accessible and works on many levels of intellect.
